I found a 1996 955 hydro with a JD loader, no other attachments. Mechanicaly it looks and seems to run soundly, the grill is broken and the paint and seat etc are faded from sitting outside..... is $8500 a reasonable price? I have used a 4310 hydro, how does the 955 compare to it? ..... What kind of problems/quirks do the 955's have that I should be aware of? thanks, Ron , Birmingham Alabama

Ive looked at couple of 955's in perfect condition and they are getting 10-11,000.00 for them here in upstate NY.
Im no expert but you are probably in the right price range for it. ....

Ron, Did you buy the 955 you were looking at? It sounds like a good price to me. I am looking for one also in the Birmingham area. What dealers have you found best to deal with? I haven't been very pleased with the selections I have seen on the lots. I haven't made my mind up between a Deere or a Kubota. ....
